Thanks to you, our wonderful customers, for all your support and for the great feedback you’ve been leaving us online. Because of your efforts we’ve recently been on the receiving line for some prestigious awards. We’re also thrilled that so many of you take the time to leave us positive reviews on Google, Trip Advisor and Facebook – it means a lot to us. Here’s a quick catch-up of what’s been happening lately.

Arments receive prestigious Trip Advisor award

tripadviser

We’re so thrilled to have received the prestigious Tripadvisor “Certificate of Excellence” award. This well-established award is now in its sixth year and we’re especially proud because it’s based solely on businesses like ours that work hard to receive great customer reviews. As Tripadvisor say “the Certificate of Excellence Award accounts for the quality, quantity, and recency of reviews submitted by visitors on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.” This is a massive pat on the back for us, and it also allows us to display the Certificate of Excellence logo, so customers know before they walk in they’re going to get great service and food.  If you hop over to the TripAdvisor page you’ll see that we’ve received 52 reviews, 46 of which were ‘excellent’ and 4 ‘very good’!

Time Out London

We have a brilliant 5 star rating on Time Out’s website.  The leading body of where to go and what to see describes us as a ‘Popular old-school pie and mash restaurant in South London serving jellied and stewed eels’.  If you would like to add a review go to Time Out’s page.

And that’s not all, we are …

Runners up in the Time Out Love London 2015 awards

Arments were runners up in the “Time Out Love London Awards 2015”. Thetimeout-logose were the second annual Love London Awards, with nominations cast for the most loved cafes, restaurants, shops, local culture and pubs across London.  There were 16,000 nominations and 75,000 votes for 5000 venues so we were overjoyed that we made the grade.

Arments in the news

We thought we’d finish this post with a quick recap on what they’ve been saying about us in the news. Firstly, the Londonist.com stated that “Arments is still regarded as “one of London’s finest pie and mash shops”. Read the rest of the article here. While earlier this year the Magnate posted a potted history of pie and mash through the ages including an overview of our famous London shops, run generation after generation by the Arment’s family.

Thanks for reading and for your continuing support for delicious pie and mash, Arments’ style. Don’t forget to get your nominations in for the upcoming Love London awards.
