Exciting News!  Elephant Days is premiering in London at the BFI London Film Festival.

Three years ago two young guys, film makers James Cronin and James Craddock, contacted us at Arments asking if they could film in our pie and mash shop for a music video (artists undisclosed at this time).  The video, they said, would be about life and people of the Elephant and Castle, set to music! Intrigued at the prospect of our pies being in a music video, we said yes.ELEPHANT DAYS POSTER(SML) (3)

We can now reveal the film Elephant Days, commissioned by The Maccabees, an indie music band, and inspired by their fourth album Marks to Prove it, has it’s premiere at Cineworld, Haymarket on Monday October 12th.  The 83 minute film takes a look at 6 local groups:  The Maccabees, naturally, us at Arments and our customers who come into our 101 year old Pie and Mash shop, Peckham Pride basketball team, gardener Richard Reynolds and George the Tailor.
