An indispensable element of an Arments pie & mash meal, the liquor is no longer made of eels. It’s now a green parsley-based liquor that’s delicious ladled over a hot crispy pastry pie. The addition of vinegar or even chilli vinegar is down to personal taste – and if you really must you can have your pie accompanied by a beef stock gravy instead.
