It’s been a busy week at Arments, we’ve been celebrating our great national dish, the pie- with British Pie Week- and what better than to announce yet another new Arments Licensed Seller, the Summerfield Public House in Lee, London, SE12.
The Summerfield, a traditional family friendly pub, with a vibrant atmosphere, where three generations of families can come and enjoy sharing food and drink together. In recent years, the pub has undergone a full refurbishment, restoring it to its former glory and bringing it back to life as a social centre in the area.
Joe Courtney, Landlord of the Summerfield Pub, and Richie Sower owner of food Company TastyFresh Limited, have gone into partnership to give the locals the best food possible on the menu. Together, they’ve decided that as a London Pub, the Summerfield’s menu was just calling out for some traditional pie and mash. Richie, who has been eating Arments pie and mash for over 35 years, knew exactly who to approach to bring London’s finest to their table.
Knowing that many of their customers come from the old area – Bermondsey, Walworth, Kennington, Old Kent Road etc. – we are sure their customers, both old and new, will appreciate pie and mash on their menu. Many too will also appreciate having a double double on a Saturday, with a nice cold beer, whilst watching the sport!
We are pleased to welcome the Summerfield as our latest Licensed Seller. They have met all our criteria – as we don’t just give a license to sell our pies to anyone – and we are confident they will do a great job in maintaining the high standards we keep both in the quality and the service of London’s finest.
The Summerfield will be serving pie, mash and liquor from this Saturday March 7th, so hurry on down and give your taste buds a treat with the real flavour of London – Arments!
