Title:
Bakehouse Cook/Assistant
Reports to:
Bakehouse Team Leader
Based at:
Arments Pie & Mash Restaurant, 7 & 9 Westmoreland Road, Walworth, London, SE17 2AX
Job Purpose:
To work as an effective member of the Bakehouse team, assisting with the preparation and production of Arments’ food products.
Hours:
39.25 per week
Pay:
Depends on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- To attain City & Guilds level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certification if this, or some other equal certification, if not already held.
- To prepare uncooked meat and potatoes for use in the food products
- To be part of the pie assembly team for pie production
- Store and rotate food items as per established procedures
- To maintain a clean workstation and ensure that the food preparation area and kitchen are cleaned regularly during the working day and cleaned and sanitised at the end of the day
- To undertake general kitchen duties as needed on a day to day basis
Scope:
This role requires the jobholder to demonstrate a good team ethic, yet retain a degree of independent thinking when undertaking their specific duties.
At all times the required standards of health and hygiene must be met, both in respect of the food being handled and prepared, and also regarding the jobholder’s personal standards of hygiene in the workplace.
The jobholder reports directly to the Bakehouse Team Leader and will take direction from and report to them.
